Electrical equipment package for galvanic isolation of high voltage equipment.
For modernization of electric locomotive VL11M series ensuring electric circuits with galvanic isolation for measuring traction motors current values and voltage in the contact line coming from the high-voltage cabinet to the driver's desk visualization device during repair and refurbishment works.
DCU (data coding unit) is installed in a high-voltage cabinet of electric locomotive and is designed for:
- digital processing of analog signals coming to its inputs from voltage and current sensors, with subsequent transmission of information from these signals in digital form via a communication link;
- ensuring VSC with stabilized supply voltage;
- ensuring CT (current transducer) and VMU (voltage monitoring unit) with stabilized galvanically isolated supply voltage; - ensuring galvanic isolation with data communication link.
VMU (voltage monitoring unit) is installed in a high-voltage cabinet of electric locomotive and is designed for electronic conversion of input current, which is proportional to the applied voltage, into proportional output current with galvanic isolation between primary (power) and secondary (measuring) circuits.
CT (current transducer) is installed in a high-voltage cabinet of electric locomotive and is designed for electronic conversion of input current into proportional output current with galvanic isolation between primary (power) and secondary (measuring) circuits.
VSC (visualization signal conditioner) is installed in the driver’s cabin and is designed for processing of digital information coming via a communication link from DCU; generating and transmitting of digital data signal via a communication backbone ensuring galvanic isolation; receiving of digital data signal via a communication backbone ensuring galvanic isolation.
