Electrical equipment “BZB” is intended to replace DB-019 wheel spin sensors and their analogues.

 

Electrical equipment “BZB” provides:

 

• Adapting to ALS-MU system possessing the following functions:

- power supply of rotation pulse signals’ electronic circuits from ALS-MU system;

- acceptance and normalization of rotation pulse signals from ALS-MU.

 

• Adapting to electrical equipment "BARS" possessing the following functions:

- formation of the signal to reduce the braking force for electrical equipment "BARS" in case of recuperative braking (upon occurrence of conditions to switch to wheel sliding and skidding). 

- transmission of information about the current speed of electric locomotive to electrical equipment "BARS" to provide speed stabilization function (limitation) in accordance with the rate of speed selected by the engineer.

• Antiwheelspin functions:

- formation of control relay switching commands to prevent skidding and wheel sliding of the 1st pair of section traction motors;

- formation of control relay switching commands to prevent skidding and wheel sliding of the 2nd  pair of section traction motors;

- calculation of rotational speed of each section’s wheel pair;

- calculation of rotational acceleration of each section’s wheel pair;

- analysis of the availability of conditions for skidding and wheel sliding according to rotational speed and acceleration of a certain wheel pair;

- input of current diameters of wheel pairs (correct calculation of speed and acceleration);

- diagnostics of pulse sensor circuits;

- control relay diagnostics;

- archiving of emergency events;

- archiving of the current parameters in the tests;

- display of the current status on unit detectors (the presence or absence of skidding and wheel sliding) about each wheel pair;

- display of the current status on unit detectors (the circuit condition of rotation sensors) about each wheel pair;

- display of the current status on unit detectors (the results of rotation sensors diagnostics) about each wheel pair;

 

• Performance monitoring functions:

- functional tests on electrical equipment “BZB” in a workshop using the package units;

- functional tests on electrical equipment “BZB” directly in an electric locomotive.
